Description
The Dr. Frank D. DeFalco Endowment for Wrestling will fund a full-time assistant wrestling coach position at WPI. The assistant coach will support immediate day-to-day needs regarding team operations, recruiting, and team member mentoring. It will also provide a talent pipeline for the head coach position, enabling a junior coach to learn the values that set the team apart.

A Tribute to Coach Falcone, Dr. D, Uncle Frank, Frankie D
This effort is in honor of Professor Frank D. DeFalco, who was an integral member of the WPI Wrestling Family for over 50 years. Uncle Frank was a revered friend, advisor, and mentor to countless WPI wrestlers and WPI students in general. The WPI Wrestling Family is proud to have this endowment named after him.
Why are donations necessary?
The WPI Wrestling program is the most successful athletics program in the history of WPI. In addition to being highly competitive on the regional and national levels, the WPI Wrestling Family has distinguished itself as one of the most active alumni groups on the WPI campus. To enable the maintenance of this level of performance and to solidify the program’s legacy moving forward, the team deserves the bandwidth that two full-time coaches can provide.
